1.  Almost all Pandas just eat bamboo leaves and shoots. But it doesn’t have much nutritional value.


2. More than half of newborn pandas die from being accidentally crushed by their mothers or from diseases.

3. One of the main reason why WWF chose Panda to be their logo: They wanted an animal that had an impact in black and white to save money on printing costs.

4. Panda fur is worth $65,000-100,000 on the black market.

5. Female panda ovulate once a year and are fertile for only two or three days.

6. It takes about seven years for a male cub to become an adult and up to five years for a female cub.

7. At the initial stage, giant panda cub have circle shape eyespots but as the cub grow, the cirles become shaped like a teardrop.

18. Pandas live a low-energy, sedentary lifestyle, it’s mainly because their digestive system cannot digest cellulose well and it doesn’t get much nutrition or energy to be active.
